Opening of Fusion Splicer Service Center

20 Oct 2008. Masstron Pte Ltd today announced the opening of its Fusion Splicer Service Center that will handle all the repairs and servicing of its MTN series of Fusion Splicing machine. Roger Tan, Technical Support Manager, was send to its supplier's factory for an intensive two weeks training in all aspect of repair and servicing for the splicers. With the setting up of the service center, Masstron has taken another step in its pursue of service excellence for its customers. To celebrate the opening of the service center, an additional one year warranty will be given for all MTN Series splicing machines purchase from today till end of 2008.

Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) Installation and Testing Courses

20 Oct 2008. Masstron Pte Ltd and FiberOpto Asia Pte Ltd will be working together to conduct FTTH installation and Testing courses. The objective of the course is to raise the skill-sets and expertise of the service providers in the Telecom industry, in preparation for the Singapore Next Generation National Broadband Network rollout. This course is specially designed for installation specialists to acquire the theories and practical knowledge on the Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) technologies and be fully equipped for the enormous fiber optics installation and deployment opportunities in Singapore and the region.

Although targeting at current existing telecom and electrical installers and practitioners, this course also caters for the new entrants who want to take a first step onto the exciting and rewarding fiber optic industry.
